The Chernobyl accident caused artificial radioactive contamination, especially 137Cs radionuclide contamination. Due to having long half-life, still continues remain in soils. In the present study, surface soil samples were collected from various locations Bulgaria-Turkey border. activity concentrations of determined. order investigate radiological hazard; dose rates and annual effective estimated. soils found range 1.71±0.18 Bq kg−1 6.99±0.66 kg−1. mean values absorbed rates, outdoor indoor be 0.10, 4.19, 16.77 µSv y−1, respectively. below worldwide limit reported by UNSCEAR ICRP. addition, statistical data estimated, frequency distribution Q-Q plot used assess distribution.
